Cloud Migration & Infrastructure Automation

A growing business was running critical workloads on aging on-premise servers — no backups, no monitoring, and every deployment was a manual, error-prone ritual.

1The Problem

On-premise infrastructure had no Infrastructure as Code, no automated backups, and no monitoring. Scaling meant buying hardware and waiting weeks, and disaster recovery was effectively non-existent.

2The Solution

I planned and executed a zero-downtime migration to AWS and Azure using Terraform for reproducible infrastructure, Docker for consistent workloads, automated CI/CD pipelines, managed backups and monitoring, and a tested disaster-recovery plan with defined RTO and RPO.

3The Architecture

On-premise workloads move to AWS and Azure landing zones via Terraform and Docker — with monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery in place from day one.

4The Results

  • Zero-downtime migration of 8 production workloads
  • Infrastructure 100% defined in Terraform
  • Deployment time cut from half a day to under 10 minutes
  • DR plan with 30-minute RTO and automated failover tests
